Distractions and Deceit

The princes and their armies marched north, ready to face Blackheart and his forces. As they approached the fortress, they could see the enemy's banners flying high in the wind. The princes knew that they had to be cautious, as Blackheart was a cunning opponent who would not hesitate to use any means necessary to defeat them.

They set up camp outside the fortress, and the princes called a meeting with their most trusted advisors. They discussed various strategies, and finally, they came up with a plan. The plan was to divide their forces into two groups, with one group attacking the front gate while the other group would scale the walls from the back.

The next day, they launched their attack. The sound of clashing swords and battle cries filled the air as the two groups fought their way to the fortress. The front group managed to break through the gate, but they were met with fierce resistance from Blackheart's men. The back group was having more success, as they had managed to scale the walls undetected and were now attacking from behind.

It was a brutal battle, and the outcome was uncertain. The princes fought fiercely, leading their men from the front, but they were outnumbered. Just when it seemed like all was lost, a new player entered the game. A group of knights, led by a young man called himself Lord Artavian , arrived on the scene, and they charged into battle with ferocity.

The knights turned the tide of the battle, and soon, Blackheart's men were retreating. The princes and their armies pursued them, and they finally cornered Blackheart himself in his chambers. Caspian burst into the room, sword drawn, lord Artavian at his side. with Uric leading the forces fighting in the fortresses streets it was he, Caspian who would slay the Blackheart. He would cleans his brothers name and Uric would be hier.

The figure clothes in black stood before a ornate fireplace a goblet of wine in hand gazing into the roaring fire before him.

"Surrender Blackheart, it's over!" Caspian commanded loudly pointing his sword at the figures back.

"Is it" the man asked quietly before turning, reveling himself to be an older man the same age as Caspian's own father. This was not the man Uric had described.

"Who are you old man?" Caspian demanded tightening his grip on his sword.

"Who I am, my rather rude young friend as what I am." The older man replied drawing a worn saber from beneath his cloak.

"Prey tell then what exactly are you then?" Caspian asked irritation clear in his voice. This was not going how he had planned.

"A distraction," the older man said and lunged, blade flashing in the fire light.

Kier Blackheart had not always been a pirate. There I've been a time when he had served in the Kings Royal Navy, as a privateer. His Captain and the woman he had loved had become privateers in service to the crown for the pardon and lands they were promised. But when the Kings war had ended the king they'd been betrayed instead. Kier had been the only survivor, he had seen them hang his beloved. And so he'd vowed vengeance, he would burn this kingdom to the ground and salt the earth where it had stood.

"We're almost ready captain," his first mate said, drawing Kier from his thoughts. He looked up from the papers he'd been pretending to read. He smiled at the man in what he hoped was a reassuring way.

"This is going to work, my friend I promise you," Kier said drawing on a

Drab brown long coat. It was weathered but well made. Something a merchant captain would wear. In the proceeding weeks he had snuck nearly a thousand men into the city. And he had done it disguised as a merchant transporting goods and 'refugees.' His ship carried the last of his men and his goods. The best part of this plan was that he sold tainted food to the cities guards. And sawdust mixed in with the gunpowder. This city would fall with a whisper.

Kier's plan was coming to fruition, and he felt a sense of satisfaction wash over him. It had taken months of careful planning, but now he was in a position to exact his revenge on the kingdom that had betrayed him and his loved ones.

He walked out onto the deck of his ship, taking in the sight of the city before him. The sun was just beginning to set, casting a warm glow over the buildings and streets. It was a beautiful city, and Kier felt a pang of regret for what he was about to do.

But he quickly pushed those thoughts aside. He had a mission to complete, and he wouldn't let anything stand in his way. He turned to his crew, his voice low and commanding.

"Men, it's time," he said. "We've come too far to turn back now. Remember why we're here. Remember the sacrifices we've made. This city will fall tonight, and we will claim our revenge."

The crew let out a fierce cheer, their voices echoing across the harbor. Kier grinned, feeling the rush of adrenaline that always came before a battle. He knew that this would be a difficult fight, but he was ready.

With one final glance at the city, he gave the order to attack. The sound of cannonfire filled the air, and Kier watched as his men stormed the city gates. The guards were caught off guard, still reeling from the effects of the tainted food and gunpowder. It was an easy victory, and Kier felt a sense of satisfaction wash over him as he watched his crew claim their revenge.

But even as the city burned around them, Kier couldn't help but feel a sense of emptiness. His revenge was complete, but at what cost? He had lost so much, and he wondered if it had all been worth it in the end.

He pushed those thoughts aside, knowing that there would be time for reflection later. For now, he had a city to burn and enemies to defeat. He would continue on this path of vengeance, no matter what it cost him.

He strode at the head of his men towards the palace. Where the King's guard made their last stand. Inside that castle waited the king who'd ordered his beloveds death. Tonight he'd end this maybe then he'd stop seeing her face staring accusingly at him when he dreamed.
